Options Prop Firms: Check the Product Before Comparing Payoffs

An options prop-firm comparison needs an actual option contract and account permission. A stock ticker or futures symbol does not provide those facts. Start with the option type, expiry, strike, settlement and multiplier before comparing the programme around it.

Keep the requested instrument intact

Record whether the question concerns listed options, another derivative or a stock position. Save the current contract definition and the exact market offered by the programme. A familiar underlying asset does not make its derivatives interchangeable.

HashHedge’s reviewed overview describes Crypto + TradFi and US Stocks; it does not establish an options route. This page does not offer HashHedge as an options provider. Its optional affiliate link is clearly a separate invitation to inspect the programmes it actually describes.

Work a deliberately simplified payoff

For a fictional call held to its defined cash-settled expiry, take strike 100, final underlying value 108, premium 3 and a supplied multiplier of 10. The intrinsic amount is max(108 − 100, 0) × 10 = 80. Subtracting the 30 premium gives 50 before any other costs.

With a final value of 99, intrinsic value in this exercise is zero and the net is minus 30 before other costs. These examples omit early exercise, assignment, margin and a market sale before expiry. They do not price an option or describe a particular listed contract.

Return to the actual programme question

A payoff calculation needs all its stated assumptions; an account comparison additionally needs availability, eligibility, costs and loss conditions. This site’s earlier contract-condition resource keeps dated definitions visible; the option multiplier still needs its own actual specification.

If the required options product cannot be confirmed, stop that comparison at unavailable or unknown. Do not replace an option with a perpetual or stock and preserve the original label. The worksheet makes no trade recommendation or prediction of a successful evaluation.
